If you are arriving in the United Kingdom by road, and expect to use the A282 Dartford Crossing, which connects the M25 motorway between Dartford, in Kent, and Thurrock, in Essex, and cross the Thames to the east of London, you need to know that you can no longer pay to cross the bridge at the toll gates. Instead, you need to pay the Dart Charge beforehand, or by midnight of the following day.
